Critical raw materials do not remain static after extraction, they move through complex systems of processing, manufacturing, use and disposal.
Understanding these flows is essential to identifying where materials are retained, where they are diluted, and where they are ultimately lost.
My work focuses on analysing and numerically modelling how materials are embedded within products and systems, and how design, infrastructure, and behaviour influence their recoverability.
